A Quiet Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for each and every day You have blessed us
Here on Earth.
Thank You for Your tender mercies.
Thank You for giving us friends and family
To share joys and sorrows with.
I ask You to bless my friends, relatives, my brothers and sisters
In Christ, and those I care deeply for who are reading this right now.
Where there is joy, give them continued joy.
Where there is pain or sorrow,
Give them Your peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence.
Where there is need,
Fulfill their needs.
Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings
In Your Son’s Holy Name,
Amen.

This quiet prayer from my dear classmate and life-long friend just speaks to my heart about God in such a splendid way.  Our friendship has grown much closer, each time precious! but now is additional closeness to God in adulthood because we share... our faith in Christ, love for our family, a sisterhood from youth and now Women of God.  Such a strong, loving bond in the faith of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ!  Come, Join in with the children of God, our Redeemer, Lover, Truth Giver, Strong and yet Oh-So Gentle and Caring...a story for another time :)
Have a blessed Christmas time and New Year, very safe and being grateful for the happenings and growth of the past, yet letting go, to continue in 2019 and Beyond!
