Have Blessed Assurance in Christ Jesus This Year and Forever!!

The very best thing, bar none, is to have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  There is nothing else in Heaven or Earth that is absolutely essential for your eternal Life, now and forever, except to accept God's Son, Jesus. If you have Him, you have it all, everything!  If you do not have Jesus, you have nothing.

I do not know how to say it any better... John 3:16-18, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."

There are so many incredibly magnificent Scriptures in The Holy Bible that speak to the Truth that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man, the Savior and Lord of our lives!  God- the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit- One God in the Trinity, Three Persons, is our Creator.  We were created in God's very own image. He created you and me to have a relationship with us!

In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve had perfection with the LORD, but then they listened to the serpent, Satan/the devil, formerly one of God's most beautiful angels.  God had told Eve and Adam that they could have fruit from every tree in the Garden except the one, the Tree of Knowledge, of Good and Evil.  He said that they would surely die if they ate from that forbidden fruit.  The devil told the couple that the LORD was trying to keep something good from them- as in being more like God- when they were already made in His image!  They had walked in the cool of the day with the LORD God...but now, sin had entered into the Garden.  The man and the woman had to leave the Garden.  They would surely die, but there was Jesus, the Son of God, Who would take away the sin of the world!

It is up to each person, individually, to accept Christ as Savior.  Jesus died a gruesome, horrible death that was among the many prophecies of the Bible that foretold Jesus' coming as Messiah.  Jesus' life, death, and resurrection for you and me was the fulfillment of the Scripture.  No one else, no other figure in history could have fulfilled what Christ fulfilled!  He is returning soon for His own, those of us who accept Him, and we will be with Him forever in Heaven.  Those who reject Him will for eternity be separated from God in a place called Hell.  You do not want to be there!

All have fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23-26)

2 Corinthians 6:2, For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

The Way to God is through His Son, Jesus.  Please tell Almighty God that you choose Life; you choose Jesus!  Here is a prayer that you may say to tell Him, or you can tell God in your own words.  He is listening.

Dear Father in Heaven, I want to accept the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ for my Life.  He is the only acceptable Person Who could do this for me.  He lived a sinless life on Earth.  You sent Him to take my place on the cross.  I ask for forgiveness for the wrongs I have done.  You will cast them into the deepest part of the ocean and forget that I did them.  I want to live in Christ as my Lord and Savior.  Help me each day to live as You would have me.  I know the Holy Spirit will guide and direct me, comfort me, also. Thank You, LORD!  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

I am praying for you, dear one, and for your family's acceptance of salvation, also.  We claim it in Jesus' Precious Name, the One above all!!

God's grace, love, and mercy upon you for all of 2017 and the coming years!

~~~Today's and the @@@First Part posted February 2016 (just below), were inspired and are dedicated to my good friend Nicolai.  He is a believer in Jesus Christ, and he had the courage to share with my close friend Jan Bracken ###(see her links below) and me very sad and terrible pictures of wounded and killed people in his homeland who were murdered by a heinous leader.  Thank you, Nicolai, for your courage to press on toward Christ and shine His Light bravely as we move each day a little closer to Heaven!!  With love, Donna
Acknowledging, Learning & Listening, and Loving our God,
Including Making Time for Him Each Day
Toward the very end of my mother's last days on Earth, I asked her one day what we should like to pray. She paused only a slight moment to think as she said, "Let's pray for the people."  I had never heard my mother comment quite that way before- as much as she believed in Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, relying on Him, praying to God... her words came forth with important clarity and of single purpose: "Let's pray for the people."  It was very profound.  She could not have said a better or more apt, loving thing.  The people.  All the people.  The ones that God, our Almighty King and Savior has made in His own image.  I was and am very proud, thankful and ever-amazed at who my mother was and even better now, who she is completely in Christ in Heaven!  At the time mother said 'let's pray for the people', she was in the throes of the last months of life here while living and functioning as best she could with Alzheimer's/Dementia.
My beautiful mother loved her Lord and Savior Jesus above all.  She had an intimate, completely trusting and confident relationship with Him.  She was absolutely sure of her Salvation because the Bible told her so! Mom was raised by a God-fearing and loving Christian mother and father (just like my sister and I were raised by our Christian mom : ), and our Grandma Binder spent time every day reading her Bible.  The family was in church every time the doors were open.  They were not wealthy by any means, but they gave to others as they could.  Grandpa and Grandma had a total of ten children, of course, spread over some 20 years.  Young or old, the children knew that when their mother was reading the Bible and spending time with God in prayer and meditation- you did not bother her!
We believers in Christ Jesus, who worship and adore Him as our personal Savior and the Lord of our lives- must spend time with Him each day.  Early/first thing in the day is best- then throughout as we can- and ending the day with some Scripture and prayer is a most helpful practice and Joy.  If you are afraid, struggling, unsure or dissatisfied- even facing very important and difficult happenings in life- stop to pray; read the Bible; speak out some Scriptures that you know that encourage and remind you of Who is Your Lord, Your Creator/Maker, and how supremely capable He is in your life!!!
One more thing I am reminded to say- surely it is the Holy Spirit Himself Who guides me in my writing- I ask Him for His help; He is always more than welcome!!  I am so grateful to the Lord in all of this...  Surely, I say, "Come, Lord, awaken in me what you might have me to say!!  For only YOU know exactly who will be reading this work of love for You and Your children (us)."
Remember to Keep Praying and Not to Give Up
We are not aware of every factor that is involved in God's listening to and answering our prayers.
However, we know He hears them.  Sometimes He is saying yes, sometimes no, and other times, wait.
Saints, be faithful and persevere in your prayer thankfulness and requests!
In the Book of Daniel, Chapter 10
12Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. 13"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. 14"Now I have come to give you an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision pertains to the days yet future."…Daniel 10: 12-14.
Daniel's prayer went to God, but when the angel was responding back to Daniel, it took 21 days for the angel to get through from the Lord.  There was such fierce fighting and impediment to interfere with the good angel's flight to Earth because a bad angel, a demon, was keeping the good angel from arriving with God's answer. Archangel Michael had to go to help the angel who was in such bitter combat with the demon.
We pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We don’t have to woo and coax You – You always stand ready for those of us in Christ- You love all your children, but sons and daughters, co-heirs in Jesus Christ, have the unending glorious power from the authority of our Savior to live out our lives and make a difference in others' lives.
Oh, come, Holy Spirit and anoint us.  We thank you Father, Son, and Spirit of the Lord for our lives and especially that we are alive! in You!
We pray for your children here on Earth, Lord, all of us need Your help urgently, but especially those who are under terrible duress- no matter what it is.  No matter who the person is- even if evil, that person, giving up him/herself to You and asking You, Jesus Christ, can have eternal Life.  You forget as far as the east is from the west, and put our sin down in deep waters of the oceans- they are gone forever; You wash us white and clean as snow, forever.  We live in You, God, utterly and completely~~~ loving You first, then our neighbors as ourselves.  We often give up things for ourselves to love others first.  Let us help and bless our fellow person- especially children, Lord!!  We ask for all innocent people to be let go of the BAD- the devil Satan, and his minions- the demons!!  Only the Good Father, You, Lord, are our Father and Abba Daddy!!  There is no fear in You, Oh God!!
It is imperative that we as Christians, spend time alone with You, Lord, each day- in Your Word, which is The Holy Bible, and praying and meditating upon Truth and the people for whom we want to and need to pray, especially the ones that you have in our circles of influence such as co-workers and neighbors.  Ever since Adam and Even had to leave the Garden of Eden where they had intimate access, even walking together with You, God, in the morning of the day…You do not leave us alone and abandoned, No!  We have - and it is upon each of us because you value and gave each of us free will - to accept You by telling You that we believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth; that You sent Him to be the Living Sacrifice upon the cross, to take on ALL of the sin that had ever been, is and would be because He is the Only Perfect Lamb of God, without sin, totally Holy, so He could pay our sin debt…You cannot be in the darkness of evil, yet You love us so much that we are justified and being sanctified by the Blood of Jesus Christ- His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension to Heaven- then, so the Holy Spirit of God, the third part of Your One Godship, the Trinity.
Once we have Salvation from Jesus Christ, we are saved!  However, You do expect us to have a life like Jesus' life where we serve our fellow man/woman, of course including children!  We are not to sit idly by, just learning and taking in for ourselves alone the greatness of You without giving!!  Faith without works is dead.***
God, we pray for the disheartened, lonely, sick, discouraged and depressed.  For these burdens to lightened and even removed!  We pray for individuals who have trouble focusing on work or a task; help them to do something, then to move to the next item.  If we fall short, we can push the delete button and quickly move on to do better without wallowing in our mistakes.  It most certainly makes the difference to pray in the morning for no interference, patience, and persistence.  Help call people and friends, even good strangers, to reach out to the needy in spirit and body.
 Help us show Your love, to see the world through Your eyes, Jesus.
Help us to be Light in a very dark world and not afraid to speak out boldly and lovingly of the Treasure that You, Alone! are!!
Foil the plans and evil schemes of lawbreakers and people haters.  Keep sending your angels to thwart and stop any demonic activity against humanity.  We appreciate you, Lord, more than we can ever say- we will spend our lives thanking You and adoring You for Who You are and for giving Your all, Your Son, for our faults, our iniquities, our pride and arrogance, our lack of humility, and our sin.
We give special attention to people who feel their lives have been stolen away!  No one can ever take away a person's inside- mind, body, and soul and spirit.  Those imprisoned and taken away from their most beloved!  Let them feel Your loving Presence with Your arms 'round about them.
Take AWAY human trafficking, the ravages of war, refugees' hopelessness and loss of home, all oppressed, tortured, raped, murdered and ravaged by war, Oh LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!  Terrible memories, be gone in the Name of Jesus Christ!!
The procurers of pornography and prostitution; of hate and torture must answer to You, All-powerful God, for each and every hurt and horror they have perpetrated! We pray for their souls- that they will come to a saving knowledge of  You, Christ, before it is too late.
Thank You, Jesus, for helping us and guarding us from so many horrid things.  Thank Your for food, shelter, our Salvation above all, and so very much our families- children, parents, siblings- and those we feel like family who are such blessed friends.
In Sweet Jesus' Name, Amen.
:::~A Salvation Prayer~:::
Please tell God the following, from your heart and mind, being truly earnest and yearning for Salvation in Christ alone!  You can tell God in your own words, of course.  Let your heart be your guide in speaking to Him, be yourself- you are who He created for His special purposes for others, yourself, and your family, even the world.
Dear Father in Heaven, I am sorry for the mistakes I have made, and I want to start fresh in Jesus Christ.  I believe that you sent Him to die for my sins, that He arose on the third day, and then, over a month's time, He ascended to Heaven to sit at your right hand and to intercede for me and all people in His glory and splendor.  He will be returning for His own, and I want to be and will be with them because I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  Thank You, Lord, and help me to walk with You daily, to do my best according to Your Word, the Bible, and to pray, to be in fellowship with people of the Body of Christ.  Help me to find a true and good church.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.
(Please be sure to follow up by sharing your statement of faith in Christ Jesus with your pastor or another firm believer!!  It is good to join in together in the Body of Christ to celebrate your decision, Friend!!  I hope and pray that you take time each day to read and to study and meditate upon the Word of God; that you pray; and that you fellowship in a solid, loving and welcoming church where Jesus Christ is preached and The Holy Bible is used regularly as our compass.  Angels in Heaven are celebrating greatly over y our personal decision, My Friend!!)
***James 2:14-26 Faith Without Works is Dead
Please read a very recent posting, "A Cure for Loneliness" from the Active Relational Christian Mentoring blog by another dearest friend &&&Vicky Thomas.  It fits right in so well with today's focus of people feeling desperate and lonely; I am sure you will gather help from her insightful and lovingly written posting in Christ.  I encourage you to read more within Vicky's studied and life-long walk with Jesus Christ!  Jan Bracken, Vicky Thomas and I studied several years together from the Bible and various Christian books on "prayer".  We prayed very much together each meeting time at Vicky's house as well as sang together as Jan played the piano- priceless memories that still feed me about Jesus Christ to this day and beyond.
&&&A Cure for Loneliness at Active Mentoring in Christ
God bless you today and always, Dear Friends...in Christ alone we have our breath, our life, our moving and very being.  May we further God's Kingdom while, yet, even here on Earth as it is for now...
'til that Glorious Day in Heaven!
As a Christian, A Disciple of Christ: You Have Personal Influence!
Image result for copyright free jesus christ images
I wrote the following note three years ago
for my church
when we were exploring Personal Influence, Community Influence, and Global Influence~~~ as the church, and as individuals~ disciples of Christ. My friends there, include, as well as others from school, work and throughout life- people who have had a fantastic impression and imprint upon my life as they show their faith in a variety of ways- helping others; holding up and holding on in tragedy and hard times; keeping their beliefs in the Lord when all looks grim; seeing the beauty in others and in the earth; praying and receiving (seeing) the answers that are only attributed to God.
 I want to make the point that Christians are not to spend time only with other Christians. Jesus spent time with sinners (which Christians are, we are simply and greatly saved, forgiven individuals: redeemed and reconciled to God and being sancified, all to the glory of the Lord, when one day as soon as this life ends, we will join Him and others who have accepted and loved him, forevermore in Heaven).
After the original asking for forgiveness and taking Christ into our hearts and lives as we have accepted Salvation, we ask God for forgiveness as we go along and have made errors.
As Disciples of Jesus Christ, the Lord God, we are to spend good, fellowship time with the body of believers and,
more assuredly,
time and worship with Him,
while having relationships and influence with others
who may not know or have not chosen Jesus yet,
but are seekers of the Living God.
We are to spread the Good News, the Gospel, of Jesus Christ,
Who is the Son of God, the One and Only Way to
God the Father...as the Holy Spirit helps us each day!
~~~Personal Influence~~~
 Having Jesus as my Savior and Lord means everything to me.  I ask Him to help me daily: to light my path, to guide and direct my actions, and to order my steps.  Some people begin their day after thanking Him for life with, “What can I do for You today, Lord?”  When God brings someone to my attention, I try to help in a small way, and then I always feel enriched.
My mother’s personal influence over my sister and me, her family, in church, at work, and in the neighborhood made a great difference in my faith and walk with the Lord.  Many things that I do, I attribute to my mother.  To the day my mom passed on to be with the Lord (absent from the body, present with the Lord for true believers in Him), Jesus gave her influence in others’ lives.  Late in life, having Alzheimer’s, she would ask people as they walked by her, “Do you know Jesus?”  She would pat her chest up high near her throat and say, "Jesus!  Jesus, Jesus!" and- "Are you happy?"  One time I asked my mom for whom should we pray that day.  She said, "Let's pray for the people!"
  Years ago, Mom would give extra pillows and some bed clothes to the woman who did cleaning in our home from time-to-time; Mom gave extra food, also, when this dear woman, Mrs. Freeman, needed items. Mrs. Freeman then, in turn, passed items on to others in need!  Mom gave neighbors rides and extra money even though she was a single mom herself for half of my childhood.  It was typical of Mom, while driving in town, to see a lady walking who had heavy grocery bags, another lady walking in inclement weather, or a mother walking with her children.  Mom would always stop to offer these folks rides to get them where they were going.  It didn't matter if Mom had to be somewhere at a certain time; it was her priority to help someone in need first. These examples and now who God brings to me each day reinforce my faith and guide me day-to-day with Christ. When I look through His eyes, I see people differently.

Treating others with respect, kindness, and love goes a long way in living like our Precious Savior! "Treat others as you want to be treated." (Mark 12:30-31) This is what my mother said was The Golden Rule- it is to love your neighbor as yourself, the second greatest commandment that Jesus told the Pharisees and the other people in the crowd that day.... the first and greatest commandment is to...

30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Have you had a difficult day, and then someone shows you kindness by letting you get in line ahead, picks up something you dropped, or genuinely asks how your day is going? Little things can turn a person’s day completely around for the good. The cost of a smiling face or a helping hand is free, yet invaluable.

 Reaching Out to Other People~~~ in openness and genuine concern for their lives, needs, and their salvation and faith in Christ~~~Sometimes, Even When It Seems Uncomfortable

Early on in attending Community Life Church, I was driving in a neighborhood, and I had gotten off track where I was headed and was slightly lost. Driving into a cul-de-sac to turn around, I saw a large sign on a family’s house that said,“Welcome Home from Iraq, Dad!” There was a young family outside a house, and they were washing the car. As I pulled through the cul-de-sac, I heard in my mind- “Stop and give them $20 for a meal.” In my mind, I thought 'okay' and parked the car. I felt a bit silly, but I walked toward them introducing myself and said that I wanted to thank them for their sacrifice and service, and here was a small gift of thanks to go to a restaurant. They were so happy that I would thank them!  I told them about our church, Community Life Church in Shawnee, Kansas (see the note at the top of this posting to the left for more details): the great sermons focused on Jesus Christ and the Bible, our pastor and his wife, our whole team and safe kids’ environments and programs, and then I gave them our church’s card. They were interested, so I told them that they were very welcome at 10 o’clock on Sunday mornings and that I would look for them. That family graced our church for about a year or so, and I knew their children where I served in Kidzlife. I also heard that each in the family had accepted Christ as their Savior!  That was absolutely thrilling to me- and still is today.
During this past spring, I had the opportunity to overhear two women talking about how difficult it had been to find a church in the area, and they were still looking for a church to attend.  I apologized for overhearing and gave each one a church card.  One young lady, Chelsea George, eagerly took the card and promptly said that she would bring her family that Sunday.  She was so enthusiastic and excited that I believed she would really come!  That Sunday, I waited in the hallway, and, sure enough, Chelsea, Tony, and daughter Riley George arrived!  They became involved right away in community group and other activities.  They had a new baby, Rowan, not long after their arrival.  What a blessing they are to us.  (We were able as a church to see this lovely, committed couple and their darling children grow and give within the church- miss you guys!!!)
It is very easy, to find people throughout each day who are open to be asked to church!!
     Often I strike up a conversation with someone serving me lunch, and after getting the waiter’s name, it is easy to ask during the meal or at the end of it if that individual is looking for a church.  Through casual conversation, I may learn that there are children or teenagers in the family, so it is natural to talk about what is happening for youth at CLC and also easy to tell about our excellent sermons and worship services.  It is uncanny how many times people are interested!  I honestly can say that it is highly unusual for a person not to take our card.
 There have been cashiers at gas stations or grocery stores, people in my neighborhood, friends of friends, people asking for directions, and the list continues for offering church cards or special invitations we have at CLC from time-to-time.  Although I try not to hesitate when God gives me a time to spread the Good News, I admit that I have not taken every single opportunity that God has given me and still have much to improve.  I feel very disappointed when I realize I had an opportunity with someone and did not follow-through in conversation with that individual...it makes me be more aware to speak to a person the next time.
There are times I have gone back to give a woman or man our card and an invitation to attend a Sunday service.  There was a woman standing with a sign of need for food recently, and I gave her the one-dollar bills that I had handy in my purse.  After driving away, I realized that I should have given her the card to find the church later or to call in for resources and assistance.  Before I left for church that morning, the Lord had given me the thought to keep those cards in my side pocket, but that day, uncharacteristically, I had decided to be tidy, so I put the church cards within my billfold!  I drove back to try to find the woman who had been standing with the sign, and she had already left the area, so I prayed that her needs would be met, and that she would have other opportunities to gather with God’s people.  (Now I keep in the compartment of the car handy information my husband gave me that has local food pantries and other area services/resources so it is easy to hand someone.) My conscience has been awakened lately that I need to be handing out more cards in my neighborhood- new neighbors to meet and neighbors I have known for awhile, anyone I am unsure if they are looking for a good church to grow in.
Praying with someone, visiting and just sitting together- giving of your self and showing that you truly care is oftentimes the best thing to do for someone who is lonely, sad, feels forsaken, or who has lost a loved one, as in passing on/passing away.
This~~~is testament of the Living Word!!

Each of us in Christ Jesus have the gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit to offer to others, and I hope that I have encouraged you today.  Our personal spheres of influence are as endless as our personalities, our walks of life, where we work, where our children go to school, where we shop or go for entertainment.  The possibilities are as endless as the unique nature of people God created each of us to be.  Jesus speaks to each of us individually; we are saved individually- and so, we speak to one person at a time!

Please read in 1 Corinthians 12 about the gifts of the Holy Spirit:

 Should I take credit for anything good that I do?

All the glory, honor, and praise go to Christ Jesus, Who is the Lord and Savior of my life- now and forever. Any character goodness~ worshiping and loving God; helping others and loving them, and taking care of myself (which I am working upon) comes from the goodness He placed within me and the fact that I look to Him daily to make my path straight and to be pleasing in His sight.

(I do not wish to do so, but I do make mistakes, constantly wanting to improve to be more like my Savior, Best Friend in the whole wide universe, and the Lord of my life- He is Jesus.  Is this a pressure?  Absolutely not.  I can do all things in Jesus Christ Who strengthens me ~~~Philippians 4:13~~~ and I want to do well, but He takes the pressure off, and I am at peace because of Him.)

He showed me His Life in The Holy Bible, so I have many stories of what happened, how he behaved, what he did. He died to self for us so that we can have eternal life because He took on the cross every single thing wrong that any of us had done, were doing, and would be doing in the future. Can you imagine? The billions of human throughout history- each and all of that sin was placed upon Him by His Father so that His Son, Jesus, the only Perfect Lamb could atone for what we had done. By that, Jesus died, was buried, and arose again, then ascending into Heaven, telling us that He is preparing a very special place for those of us who love Him and believe in Him~~~ we place our lives under and with His Salvation and Lordship.

This freedom is the best mountaintop experience you can ever have and is available to every human being, no matter what.  Each person needs to be genuine and repentant and want Him in their lives for now and for always. This is The Gospel of the Bible,

The Good News,
the Message of Jesus Christ!!
In this weary-old, fallen world, He continues to show us that He is very much alive and well and in ultimate control!
He continues to show the magnificent Beauty He created when He made the universe and everything in it~ all life, including animals~ also plants, planets, space, and His most beloved, human beings, whom He has made us in His Image!~ absolutely everything was created by God~~~the Lord Jesus Himself.
How could anyone look at the incredible array of nature and life! and not feel moved to see the structure, the ingenuity, the multiplicity, the ultimate Intellect~ eons away from what man or woman or even the whole earth of folks together could create!?
In other words, since the Lord God made me, I take no credit for any things I do in His Name for the good.
The only credit I can take is that I chose to believe in Him and to live for Him each day on a certain summer day when I was 25 years old.
Truly, I am so thankful that I responded to Him; it was really quite a happening, and I am writing about it by the end of January. The Holy Spirit wooed me in such a powerful way that I had to respond- but I could have chosen not to accept Christ. How glad I am that I did choose Him!!
Sometimes I fall very short, and God still loves me. Even with that, it takes His help each day to help me in my walk of faith and in my work for those I love and those He places in my life~ even those whom I see as an enemy~ or those who see me as an enemy. Fortunately, I don't see many at all that way, especially since God has put in me the great, great desire to see everyone saved

We will talk another time about the fruit of the Spirit :)
