More about God- How He Loves You and Me!

Jesus Tomb
I hope you like
these thoughts and poems
about the Lord Almighty!
Today's writing is dedicated to a very close and dear friend of mine, Marguerite Mount Brown, in memory and honor of her lovely sister, Kathy Mount Luedtke, who passed into Glory with our Lord Jesus Christ this last week! Kathy was (and is, because she continues to live in a more fantastic manner and way we can only peek at in the Bible) a kind and gentle woman; her voice and face are beautiful, and she exuded love.  She truly loved all the most special people in her life, but particularly~~~she loves her precious daughters.  I extend my heartfelt and most loving condolences to her father, her husband Mark, sisters Lynn and Marguerite, beloved daughters, four granddaughters! and two grandsons! nieces and nephews, and all family and friends.  Although Kathy is not with us at present~ apart from the body, present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6-8), she continues to love her family, her church and Jesus, with Whom she lives now!  Can you imagine?~~~ Kathy is seeing Jesus' real face and hearing His genuine voice.  She is forever and always- HOME.
Heaven is the greatest place we will ever be- exciting, purposeful, beyond our imagination, hopes, and dreams~ where there is never sadness, evil deeds or people, competition, illness, brokenness, people unworthy of trust, nor ever experience separation from our loving Lord again, and those of us who have accepted His "free," to us, not to Him, gift of Salvation, will be there forever and ever!  It is quite, that simple!
He is spectacular and amazing, above all of our knowledge and wisdom...
Stay in the Word of God, which is the Bible, to keep learning His Truth in Jesus Christ.  The Holy Bible is full of many true-life stories of real people just like you and me, including psalms, revelations, and actual happenings and events in the Life of Jesus, the Son of God... Who willingly came to earth for those He made in His image, just for you and me, so that we could: 1. Know of Him; 2. Accept Him as our Lord and Savior; and 3. Continue on following Him as His disciples~~~making other disciples!  (I learned Number 3 (just above) much more this past church's sermon/s and last weekend at a great weekend conference that our church, Community Life Church, in Shawnee, Kansas, hosted.)  We are to love God first, then love and help others, as we also care for ourselves. The first and second greatest commendments.  (Jesus answered this when asked, and, yes, there are the Ten Commandments that were given to Moses on Mount Sinai.)
The more we follow Jesus to be like Him each day in our walk; the more we fellowship with true believers in Christ; and continue to study and learn together, praying with one another in the Body of Christ~ and to pray alone as Jesus did with the Father......if we do these things with an openness of heart to learn and to possess the mind of  our King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus, we will be blessed! For who has known the Lord's mind, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. - (1 Corinthians 2:16).  What we do counts!  Helping others, having compassion, loving one another, and showing in truth and authentic love the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. - Galations 5:22-23) are signs to the Lord~ our body of Christ in the church~ and the world~ that we are God's Beloved, true believers in Jesus Christ as our Lod and Savior. The Bible is all about Almighty God's Names, Character, Attributes, and  and His relationship with us!  You can hear from the Lord directly through His Word, taking Godly advice from many wise counselors~ who are people in the faith whom you trust~ asking and using the insight and guidance from the Holy Spirit.  God is NOT in a box, He is the unlimited, loving and just Creator of heaven and earth and everything in it- most notably in His value and love, you and me, whom He made in His image. )
God is the Great I AM.
There is only
One God: Who is Father, Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit~~~Who are the Trinity.  They are Three Persons, yet God is Spirit.
Thank you to my dear friends in Christ Jesus~~~ Sister-Mentors, fellow students of the Bible, Jan and Vicky, for each encouraging me in the same few days of recent~~~ to continue using my poetry in the blog- how dear you are; your love and words meant a great deal of encouragement to me from you!  (***See the note at the end of today's writing to link to Vicky's blog and Jan's own postings; you won't be disappointed!)
Coming across an "old" cd today, I found these poems and writings that I wrote approximately 10 years ago, while I was still recuperating from a serious car accident.  That accident brought me much closer to God, and I am grateful, not for being injured/disabled, but that circumstances that He did allow, brought ultimate good for me, and I hope others.  In some ways, it was hardest on my family.  As my husband Royce said recently, "It made us better people."  Most items below/here are from earlier 2000, although there is an exception with one or two that are more recent.
I hope and believe that these words of encouragement and truth will speak to your heart and mind to bring you comfort, reassurance, and the Promise Who is Christ, alone,
none other
 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 New International Version

Nothing Unnoticed
Did you know that you have a Heavenly Father
Who counts your tears and puts them in a bowl?
That He knows the desires of your heart?
Knows the very number of the hairs on your head?
When you sit, or stand, or are in any other position or
Happenstance,
He is aware, ready to help…
Nothing about you goes by Him,
Unnoticed!
He knows the very character of your soul.

 He died- just for you.

This latter sentence about serving God was a very important insight to me as I was getting well from the car accident...there were such incredibly special and loving, giving nurses who helped me, and I could see more how God was using me in little ways to help others, too.  Do not ever underestimate how much the Lord puts you where you are and gives to you there from others, and then how He puts YOU right where you can be an uplifting person to another :)

Christ's Suffering and My Suffering: How Do They Connect? by Kim Darling

My dear Christian sister, Kim Darling, is a lady with whom the Lord connected the two of us through the Internet!  It didn't take long at all in our communications to realize that each of us love and live for Jesus, our Lord and Savior.  God has used the Internet for His purposes, glory and kingdom.
 Every single time that Kim and I have corresponded, I go away feeling richer in the graces and glory of our God: pearls of wisdom she offers to me.  Recently when Kim and I finally spoke on the phone~~~hearing her voice was such a reward of love and sweetness to my ears and to my heart.
Kim's letter strikes to the core of our being on Jesus' suffering and ours, and how they are related.  Find deep words of knowledge and truth herein from someone who loves the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind and strength.  What a sweet pure-of-heart spirit Kim exudes.  She is precious to me, always and forever.  Be sure to read to the very end of her story because there is a conclusion that will surely touch your spirit.
Enjoy, for the Lord is good!
One of my favorite verses is in Jeremiah 9:23-24 (this is the Lord speaking),
23 Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.
Years ago I read this verse and was struck at how the Lord revealed what was in His Heart.  He wants me to Know Him.  This is not a superficial knowing.
Another favorite verse is in Phillippians 3:10: (Paul says) 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
This verse is so loaded with amazing truths to peel away and meditate on, and I've tried to do this for years, but I knew it in my head, and God knew that in order for me to truly understand this, I had to go through the process of learning it experientially.
I'm slowly learning that we really don't come to know the Lord in the blessing but rather in the breaking.  Jesus says, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."
Suffering introduces a man to himself.  For me I thought I was so much further than I really was because of my head knowledge and my zeal.  I had to come to the place where I was bankrupt to help myself through what was ahead of me.  I was brought many times to the end of myself and at wit's end corner.
Intense suffering can do one of two things for the believer.  It can either drive us to God or drive us into utter despair.  The alternative is too frightening because we know there is no hope down that road.  In order to get through this, I had to think with a heavenly mind and not an earthly mind.  I had to preach to myself the truths and promises of God and not trust my feelings that are very bad counselors.  It's a fight every day not to take counsel with them.  Another verse that I CLUNG to was from the book of Job: Though He slay me, yet will I trust HIM.  I tried to say this out loud when I could hardly get the words out.  There were many nights of no sleep because of pain, and when you are at your weakest point, that is when the devil comes in to tempt you to fear and give up just like he did with Christ after He fasted and prayed.  I praise God for giving us the recipe to get through such desperate times!  He gave us the armor of God to clothe ourselves with to halt the arrows from hitting us.  Job 35:10 says, He giveth songs in the night(the joy of the Lord is my strength).  This quieted my heart in a desperate moment of sheer weakness.  Isaiah 30:15 says, in Quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.
We have to quiet our hearts and preach to ourselves the truth over and over again.
There are a few things that made my suffering bearable, and we as believers have this readily available to us.  The first gift that the Lord gives us is the right amount of grace to go through it, and then God's constant presence and knowing that He was in full control and appointed this specific trial of faith for me.  When we suffer, there is very little anyone can do.  I had a precious husband who did all that he could and a loving and helpful mother and father, but they cannot take the pain away, nor live inside you.  It was a comfort to know that my Savior knows all of it. (Christ in me, the hope of Glory.)
Which brings me to one of the blessed truths that has helped me through my ordeal.  I spent the year in 1 Peter 1:3-...God has given us a living hope.
(For full chapter
1 Peter 1:

It is alive and real and enlarged my heart.  When you are pressed out of measure, this is like medicine from Heaven.  We have a bright future with our Savior forever, and there will be no more pain, tears, or suffering of any kind.  Heaven is not here, it is there.  Life is very short.  I am so privileged to suffer in the path of obedience with my Savior.  He became ENOUGH.

Psalm 73:25, 26
25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.  26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
I am becoming more aware that when we are given the gift of salvation, we are automatically united with our Savior but union is not communion.  When we suffer, we are in the perfect position to commune with Him, and there is nothing more precious.  We get to experience just a glimpse of what He went through, and this builds a relationship instead of it being one-sided.
Suffering stretches out spaces in our hearts for more of God.
Malachi 3:6 says I am the Lord, I change not.  This is another benefit as our world around us is changing and deteriorating and when we lose our health, we lose the comfort zone of our normal self, and that is hard to deal with.  Blessing to know He doesn't change.
Afflication detaches my heart to this world and all that I look on to make it easy to exist here.  Heaven is not here but there.
Peace is sweeter after conflict and war!
Present afflictions tend to heighten future joy.
We have only one life to show the world both seen and unseen that we know a Great God, and He is the Creator and the reason for our existence.
My brain tumor turned out to be a gift.  It has been a wondrous blessing to trust God when nothing made sense.

"I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chattd all the way;
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.

I walked a mile with Sorrow;
And ne'er a word said she;

But, oh! The things I learned from her,
When Sorrow walked with me."

Walked A Mile – Song Written by Barry Mann (Chorus taken from Poem by Robert Browning Hamilton) and Sung by Barry McGuire

Psalm 61:2
King James Version (KJV)
2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Isaiah 43:2
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Romans 8:18 (KJV)
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

"A Solitary Way" Jesus, the Messiah~~~ the King of kings and Lord of lords!

Sent by A Precious Disciple of the Lord,

~~~Kim Darling~~~
(She and some other sweet folks will be highlighted in a new posting that is forthcoming on:
"The Suffering of Christ and How It Relates to Your Suffering")
Here is what this saint says:
This is just a little poem I stumbled across during a very difficult and long illness.
It was such an encouragement to my heart
and I wanted to share it with others. The
author is "unknown."
I hope that it will bless your heart as much
as it has mine.
God bless,
Kim
 A Solitary Way
There is a mystery in human hearts,
And though we be encircled by a host
Of those who love us well, and are beloved,
To every one of us, from time to time,
There comes a sense of utter loneliness.
Our dearest friend is “stranger” to our joy,
And cannot realize our bitterness.
“There is not one who really understands,
Not one to enter into all I feel,”
Such is the cry of each of us in turn.
We wander in “a solitary way,”* (Psalm 107:4)
No matter what or where our lot may be;
Each heart, mysterious even to itself,
Must live its inner life in solitude.
And would you know the reason why this is?
It is because the Lord desires our love.
In every heart He wishes to be first,
He therefore keeps the secret key Himself,
To open all its chambers, and to bless
With perfect sympathy and holy peace
Each solitary soul which comes to Him.
So when we feel this loneliness it is
The voice of Jesus saying, “Come to me”;
And every time we are “not understood,”
It is a call to us to come again:
For Christ alone can satisfy the soul.
And those who walk with Him from day to day
Can never have “a solitary way.”
And when beneath some heavy cross you faint
And say, “I cannot bear this load alone,”
You say the truth. Christ made it purposely
So heavy that you must return to Him.
The bitter grief, which “no one understands,”
Conveys a secret message from the King,
Entreating you to come to Him again.
The “Man of sorrows”* (Isaiah 53:3) understands it well,
“In all points tempted,”* (Hebrews 4:15) He can feel with you;
You cannot come too often, or too near.
The Son of God is infinite in grace,
His presence satisfies the longing soul;
And those who walk with Him from day to day
Can never have “a solitary way."
Kim further says:
Jesus says in Revelation 3:20
BEHOLD, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in
to him, and sup with him, and he with Me.
What does this mean?
Jesus lovingly invites us to let Him in, He wants full possession of our heart and life.  But He does not force Himself on anyone.  He wants joyful surrender.
This is my testimony:
I received Christ when I was 13 years old.
Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No man comes to the Father but by Him (Christ).
To me, that was a blessed verse to stumble across when I
so desperately wanted to know God's solution for eternal life.  After all these years, I not only have complete assurance and perfect peace that I will spend eternity in God's Heaven but I've also been able to have the benefit of a wonderful, wonderful
relationship with my Savior even now while on this
earth!
There is such an awesome resolve to know why we exist.
It is an awesome privilege to have the power of an endless life!
~~~by Kim Darling~~~

~~~How to Accept Christ as the Lord of Your Life and Your Savior~~~
The One True God- God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit know your thoughts and your heart.  If you sincerely want to know God, to be accepted in His family and His kingdom (beginning now, continuing through death, and being immediately with Jesus- living in Heaven for eternity), then please talk to Him to tell the Lord that you are taking his already free Gift of Love when Jesus died on the cross and rose.
Here is a prayer you may want to say or whatever is on your heart and spirit in truth to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, the Creator of the earth and everything in it...most including you and me:
A Prayer for Salvation for You
Dear Father in Heaven, I have sinned against You and have not always been the way that You would have me to be.  I believe that Jesus Christ, Your Son, is the Only One, Fully God and Fully Man, Whom You sent to die on the cross for all my sins; they were paid in full because Jesus is the perfect Lamb of God, completely holy and without sin.  He took my place.  He died, was buried, and then arose from the grave, fully alive!  He spent time with His disciples and apostles, was seen by over 500 people, and then arose to sit at the right Hand of the Father, where He intercedes for me to the Father.  I am a co-heir with Jesus.  He loves me, and I want You, Jesus, to be Lord and Savior of my life from now on.  Thank You!
Amen.
(So be it.)
You are now a daughter or son of the Living God, and no one can ever take that away from you.  Find a good Christ-believing, Bible-believing and teaching church where people welcome you.
Be reading God's Word, The Holy Bible, regularly/daily and be in fellowship with the Body of Christ, other true believers.  Pray and learn as much about the Lord as you can.  Try to do the right thing, if you fall short at times, talk to God about it.  You are His saint, and He forgives you.  Ask Him to help you and to protect you each day- the Holy Spirit will guide you because He sealed you the moment you accepted Christ.  Through thick or thin, bad and good times, plenty and little, no matter what, He is at your side...remember:
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
[Romans 8:28, (ESV) English Standard Version]
(This verse has held me up, kept me going, and encouraged me many, many times!  It is my Life Verse :)
You have instant access to God's heavenly throne because Jesus, His Son, sits at His right side interceding for you.  Pray for others- that is a great calling and will enrich you and help others.
Honor the Lord God above all with no false gods or deities.  Put Him first, then Love one another, as yourself.  Do the right thing.
You will be utterly amazed at how the Lord helps you every day and in so many ways.
Talk to Him any moment of the day or night.
He is always on-call, never sleeps or shirks
His Love for you and His responsibility to you.
The last thing Jesus said to us before He departed for Heaven
after He had arisen
and was with us on earth for 40 more days:
 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8, ESV)
Jesus also said that He was going to prepare a place for us, and if it were not true, He would have told us so.  The Lord Jesus is preparing a place of many mansions for us.
 Jesus Comforts the Disciples2"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 4"And you know the way where I am going."
(John 14:2-4, unsure of translation/transliteration/version)
Jesus then ascended to Heaven to be with God, the Father, and by Jesus' leaving us, the Holy Spirit of God was enabled to come join us to help us, to direct, to guide, and to comfort us; He lives within each of us who have asked Him into our hearts forever learning more of the glories and characteristics of the Lord, happy beyond description where there is no more sorrow, crying, devastation, or want.  It is an incredibly beautiful place of Joy, Acceptance, and Love!!!
God bless you in the riches of glory
Who is Christ Jesus!!
He will never fail you.
Blessings,
Donna M.
The Healing is Always Christ Thursday, December 27, 2012 Emmanuel, God With Us! What a God We Have That He Would Come to Save Us! And...A Prayer of Salvation!
Merry Christmas, A Most Sacred Time of Year
Sending You Blessings, Joy, and Love in Christ, the Lord Jesus
 Hi, Friends!  I am re-sharing/re-releasing this posting
for Christmas 2018 and the New Year 2019!
May you grow closer each day to the One God, Who loves you more than you or I can truly imagine at this time.  I hope you have accepted His gift of Salvation, for He is LORD!  He is loving, kind, longsuffering, merciful, trustworthy,  just, and Holy~~~forever and ever.  With Him, that is where you and I want to be for eternity!  Do not pass this moment up to commit or to re-commit to the Lord God Almighty,
only through His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Love came down that Christmas-time in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago!
He came to teach us, to love us, and to show us the Way, through the total sacrifice of Himself for our sins because He is the only Perfect Lamb of God- Jesus is fully God and fully Man, and He is interceding for you and your loved ones now in Heaven on High!
The Holy Spirit of God comes to indwell your life when you accept Christ as your Living Savior-
the Living Water and Bread of Life!
I have put a ***Prayer of Salvation for you to say for Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior now and forever; it is located toward the very bottom of this posting.  When your life here on earth ends one day, you will go to Heaven and live fully alive without fear, illness, accidents, heartbreak, starvation, sadness, but with all of the remarkable and lovely things we can only imagine, as God meant from the beginning for us when your mortal life here is over.  Right now and continuing onward you are in the Kingdom of God, and you will begin to grow and to be able to see the things of the Lord in a more blessed, assured, and enlightened way!  You can pray directly to God the Father. He will give you insights through the Bible and His fellowship; He will guard and protect you in even more ways.  God bless you!  Always know you can talk to the Lord God at any time about anything; ask Him for your needs; praise Him for the good things you do have.
(We are to praise Him in all things, and I see this more and more...please read
Romans 8:28, or go a little farther with +++Romans 8:28-31, See below.)
For Salvation and to walk with God each day, you can read the prayer from your heart with your true intention, or~~~ just tell Him in your own words that you believe His Son Jesus died on the cross for you, ask Him to forgive your sins, and tell the Lord you commit your life to Him...
Waiting for the Promise
 I love the way
Everything just stops
For a little while
At Christmas…
All of the craziness
Ceases,
And we bow down
To worship
Our Lord and King, Jesus.
It’s so soundlessly
Beautiful,
As we all stop
To stare
At the newborn Savior
Of heaven and earth.
(Written about my mother in her last few years.  Now, she is in Glory forever, basking in the Love and Light of Jesus.  Oh, how Royce and I miss our parents, but they are at their very best in age, appearance, ability to do ALL that is there to do and to enjoy! with no problems of any kind...we would never want to call them back from that, nor would we be able to do so.)
She was so weak in her circumstance,
Yet she sought the knowledge- the Word – of her Lord,
And she sought His desire for her life in prayer.
So the Savior gave her His comfort, strength, and love.
What more could she ask of Him?
Perfection in Snow
Being together on
a snowy day,
From within~ peeking outside,
Just beyond the door.
What do we see?
White, fluffy snowflakes,
Floating from the sky
Down and around us.
Peace. Comfort. Love.
That is how it feels
With family,
When snuggled in
Together.
While the snowstorm
Gently surrounds us,
From celestial heights,
Safety and comfort
From God reside.
Only He can make us secure
In complete white;
His Season has arrived.
It is sure,
And all is perfection.
The Wee Babe
From so far above,
Came down to reign
In our hearts with His love.
A new heart so tiny,
Yet with everlasting Life,
As He lay in the manger,
His life would be one of sacrifice.
Knowing our weakness~
He knew before time,
It must be that he would die for us,
Little Lamb of God sublime.
That night in the barn,
Stars, shepherds near,
Kings from afar;
Angels did, indeed, prepare them all.
The Bethlehem star, above in the east,
Was set by God’s Hand
As His ultimate timepiece.
With You
Those utterly most precious moments
Just with You~
Serene or full-tilt,
There’s nothing that compares.
Oh, how I covet those sweetest moments
If they are only for a few seconds-
Eyes filling with tears of Joy
I guess because I get a hint of the Love
You feel for me…and for all of us.
Such supreme happiness and appreciation,
Because: You have healed me.
You have been there even when I
Did not know it through the tough times.
You have shown me friendship in like-minded and the needy.
You have given me the most beautiful Jesus as my Savior
And the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide me…
Because: You Love me.
Thank You, Lord!
“Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His loving kindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments…
Deuteronomy 7:9
***A Prayer of Salvation
Dear Father in Heaven, I know that you cannot have sin for you are completely holy. You are also patient and long-suffering, kind and loving. You made me because you simply want me to be made in Your image so that we can have a genuine, loving relationship together.
I have fallen short, made mistakes, and sinned many times. You know that I am not perfect and cannot be perfect in this world, but I do want to say, "Yes, Lord!" I believe in You, Jesus, as my personal Lord and Savior. Please come into my life and make me a new creation. I know you love me more than I can fully understand at this time, and You can help me to grow and to live in your will for my life. I want to live always with You, not separated for eternity. Thank You,
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Jesus said:
“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:43-48
From Crib to Cross to Crown and I Am a Present
+++"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
Romans 8: 28-31, NKJV
We are the most blessed people on the face of the earth and forever~~~ because we have
Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, always!
