To the Lovely, Strong People of Hong Kong and Taiwan & A Salvation Prayer

 
















  
What you must know is this: 
Jesus loves you, simply and purely.  
He sees your heart and mind, your struggles, your hurts, disappointments, and your fears.  
He hears your laughter and knows whom you love.  He loves you unconditionally, Friend!!!  
He knows each thought that you have, your dreams and goals in Life.

Please know that I am praying for you!  I want you to keep your freedom and have no strife.  

God loves you more than I can say, more than I can know, or dream.  Please read The Holy Bible and pray; you will see and experience how he loves you, beyond any calculation, more than we can understand on earth.

The reason that I am writing this special posting, just to you! is that my heart goes toward you beautiful children of God.  I am praying fervently for your desires and dreams, and I will continue praying for you, Dear Friends!  God bless you in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, always and forever. 

Jesus said: (John 15:12 and John 15:17.)    12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.   17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

(John 3:16, NKJV, New King James Version) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (Romans 3:23) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God loves you and each one of us more than we can fully know now.  I so hope and pray that you have asked Jesus into your Life. Please, if you have not accepted Him as your Lord and personal Savior, do so now!  Your Life is worth everything to God, and He will protect you.  God the Father gave up His One and Only Son to give us Life eternal. Jesus created you in His own image! The Holy Spirit will lead, guide, and comfort you.  When your Life has ended here, you will go to Heaven to be forever with Jesus and your family and many new friends!  

This posting will bring more awareness to people everywhere, who will in turn be praying for your safety, salvation, and freedom!!!  People watch the news, read online, and read newspapers...  Many folks pray for you all over the world. The Lord God wants all of us to have His salvation.  He is the only One Who has the power to do so for us.

The Word Became Flesh

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a]

A Brief Summary about Christ Jesus

Jesus lived a perfect and faultless life on earth, born of Mary and the Holy Spirit of Almighty God.  He worked as a carpenter with his earthly father Joseph, then when he was thirty years old, Jesus began His ministry.  He preached the Truth.  He performed many miracles. He said that He was God, which is the Truth, but the Jewish priests and leaders would not have it: Jesus was undermining their rule.  At the age of 33, Jesus was such a threat to the Jewish leaders they told Caesar that Jesus was ruining their Roman empire and would bring them down.  The Roman soldiers arrested Jesus and beat and tortured Him, nailing Jesus on the cross at Calvary. Jesus was fully God and fully Man, the Only One.  The perfect, unblemished Lamb of God gave up His life for you and me.  Taking on all of the sin that had ever been or would ever be, He took my sin, He died and was buried in a tomb with mammoth rocks over the sepulcher to secure the burial.  In three days, Jesus arose and walked out of His tomb. For 40 days He was seen by over 500 people.  With Jesus' followers/disciples watching Him, Jesus ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of His Father, where Jesus intercedes for us.

We believe in the One true God Almighty, Triune in Person and Spirit: God the Father, the Son Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, Who comes to live inside each of us the moment that we say Yes! I believe in You, Jesus, Son of God!!!

If you have not accepted Christ, and want to be in God's Kingdom beginning right now on earth and then one day go to Heaven forevermore, pray this prayer.  You can also tell God in your own words.  Jesus is fully Man and fully God.  He is listening to your every hope and desire.  You are His daughter or son, again loving us more than we can know right now.

There is nothing magical about this particular prayer.  When you pray it and mean it, Yes! you will be saved and go to Heaven in time to be with saved family and the Lord God Almighty.  If you want to tell Father God in your own words, please do so.  If you have fallen away, read this prayer.

A Salvation Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

I want to give my Life to You.  You made me in Your own image! You knew about me before the beginning of the world because You, Great God, know everything that has happened, is happening, and will be happening.  I want to be Your child, Lord and Savior, for now and eternity! 

I have fallen short, and I am sorry; thank You for being so generous, loving, gracious, and compassionate that You want to be with me protecting, loving, listening, and talking together. You have redeemed me, Lord, when You died on the cross for me, were buried, then arose, and seeing many people, You ascended to Heaven.  I know I will make mistakes, but You will forgive me, instruct me, and guide, comfort me.  You do not accuse Your believers; that is the devil.  Now that I accept and welcome you, God, into my Life forevermore, Your Holy Spirit will come to be with me constantly to guide, protect, and soothe me.  He will give me conviction!  Thank You forever, Almighty God, my personal Savior Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit- You are Three Persons in One, and yet You are Spirit.  I love and thank you, all glory to You always and forever, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Brother and Sister, Congratulations!!!  You are God's daughter or son and in His Kingdom ever here beginning on Earth and then in His timing, Heaven!  What a mighty, smart, and loving decision for Him and yourself  you have made, Friend!  I wish I could shake your hand and give you a Bible.

We are praying for all peoples, especially those in extreme hardship, despair, and suppression/oppression.

God bless His Creation, always and forever.

More about God- How He Loves You and Me!

about the Lord Almighty!
Today's writing is dedicated to a very close and dear friend of mine, Marguerite Mount Brown, in memory and honor of her lovely sister, Kathy Mount Luedtke, who passed into Glory with our Lord Jesus Christ this last week! Kathy was (and is, because she continues to live in a more fantastic manner and way we can only peek at in the Bible) a kind and gentle woman; her voice and face are beautiful, and she exuded love.  She truly loved all the most special people in her life, but particularly~~~she loves her precious daughters.  I extend my heartfelt and most loving condolences to her father, her husband Mark, sisters Lynn and Marguerite, beloved daughters, four granddaughters! and two grandsons! nieces and nephews, and all family and friends.  Although Kathy is not with us at present~ apart from the body, present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6-8), she continues to love her family, her church and Jesus, with Whom she lives now!  Can you imagine?~~~ Kathy is seeing Jesus' real face and hearing His genuine voice.  She is forever and always- HOME. 
Heaven is the greatest place we will ever be- exciting, purposeful, beyond our imagination, hopes, and dreams~ where there is never sadness, evil deeds or people, competition, illness, brokenness, people unworthy of trust, nor ever experience separation from our loving Lord again, and those of us who have accepted His "free," to us, not to Him, gift of Salvation, will be there forever and ever!  It is quite, that simple!
He is spectacular and amazing, above all of our knowledge and wisdom...
Stay in the Word of God, which is the Bible, to keep learning His Truth in Jesus Christ.  The Holy Bible is full of many true-life stories of real people just like you and me, including psalms, revelations, and actual happenings and events in the Life of Jesus, the Son of God... Who willingly came to earth for those He made in His image, just for you and me, so that we could: 1. Know of Him; 2. Accept Him as our Lord and Savior; and 3. Continue on following Him as His disciples~~~making other disciples!  (I learned Number 3 (just above) much more this past church's sermon/s and last weekend at a great weekend conference that our church, Community Life Church, in Shawnee, Kansas, hosted.)  We are to love God first, then love and help others, as we also care for ourselves. The first and second greatest commendments.  (Jesus answered this when asked, and, yes, there are the Ten Commandments that were given to Moses on Mount Sinai.) 
The more we follow Jesus to be like Him each day in our walk; the more we fellowship with true believers in Christ; and continue to study and learn together, praying with one another in the Body of Christ~ and to pray alone as Jesus did with the Father......if we do these things with an openness of heart to learn and to possess the mind of  our King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus, we will be blessed! For who has known the Lord's mind, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. - (1 Corinthians 2:16).  What we do counts!  Helping others, having compassion, loving one another, and showing in truth and authentic love the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. - Galations 5:22-23) are signs to the Lord~ our body of Christ in the church~ and the world~ that we are God's Beloved, true believers in Jesus Christ as our Lod and Savior. The Bible is all about Almighty God's Names, Character, Attributes, and  and His relationship with us!  You can hear from the Lord directly through His Word, taking Godly advice from many wise counselors~ who are people in the faith whom you trust~ asking and using the insight and guidance from the Holy Spirit.  God is NOT in a box, He is the unlimited, loving and just Creator of heaven and earth and everything in it- most notably in His value and love, you and me, whom He made in His image. )
God is the Great I AM. 
There is only
One God: Who is Father, Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit~~~Who are the Trinity.  They are Three Persons, yet God is Spirit.
Thank you to my dear friends in Christ Jesus~~~ Sister-Mentors, fellow students of the Bible, Jan and Vicky, for each encouraging me in the same few days of recent~~~ to continue using my poetry in the blog- how dear you are; your love and words meant a great deal of encouragement to me from you!  (***See the note at the end of today's writing to link to Vicky's blog and Jan's own postings; you won't be disappointed!)
Coming across an "old" cd today, I found these poems and writings that I wrote approximately 10 years ago, while I was still recuperating from a serious car accident.  That accident brought me much closer to God, and I am grateful, not for being injured/disabled, but that circumstances that He did allow, brought ultimate good for me, and I hope others.  In some ways, it was hardest on my family.  As my husband Royce said recently, "It made us better people."  Most items below/here are from earlier 2000, although there is an exception with one or two that are more recent. 
I hope and believe that these words of encouragement and truth will speak to your heart and mind to bring you comfort, reassurance, and the Promise Who is Christ, alone,
none other

This latter sentence about serving God was a very important insight to me as I was getting well from the car accident...there were such incredibly special and loving, giving nurses who helped me, and I could see more how God was using me in little ways to help others, too.  Do not ever underestimate how much the Lord puts you where you are and gives to you there from others, and then how He puts YOU right where you can be an uplifting person to another :)

WHAT I WOULD SAY TO MY BELOVED FAMILY Whose Salvation is Unsure: Have You Committed Your Life to Christ Jesus? PART ONE

Why Do We Care So Much?!

(Please forgive some of the spacing on this posting; having done the best that I can, the editing is not cooperating with me.)
God has been beckoning and urging me to continue writing this particular post and to, indeed, send it out!  I offer no apology in Christ, ever.  Who could adequately argue with our Creator: the Son of God, Jesus Christ, Who was and is the perfect Lamb of God; Who allowed Himself to become fully Man, while remaining fully Holy God~~~ to come to earth as a Babe, grow up, leave home the last three years of His Life on earth to preach The Gospel, The Good News of Jesus Christ, that is made for each and every human being, then to be sacrificed on the cross in complete Holiness while having the heaping of all sin upon Him that was ever committed before and after that time; to die and then to be resurrected to seal the cap to prove once and for all, that He was, indeed, King of kings and Lord of lords?! 
 Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of God, gives us the Good News, the
 Gospel, that He offers to each and every person, of all nations, creeds, races, and groups.  We each stand on level ground at the foot of the cross, a wise friend, Jan Bracken, has said. 
 I hope that this message will encourage people who have not yet accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord~ and also those who may have accepted Him at one time, but are not standing with Him now.  In addition, I hope to encourage people who are in Christ NOT to give up on their loved ones and to keep praying  for them and listening to God's leading in prayer and truth for their loved ones.  I include any and all people, everywhere, for whom Prayer Warriors are praying for Salvation.  There might be people for whom no one is praying for them- how sad! 
Yet, we are assured that God loves them, and Christians love you because we want to share the life-affirming and giving faith of Christ Jesus, Who loves each and all, and wants no one to fall and, thus, 
to be set apart from His love forever
(by rejecting his offer of Salvation).
 I truly am assured, as I think about intercessory prayers for others and one another, that somewhere in the world, there is always a disciple of Jesus Christ who is whispering-telling-speaking prayers to God for every single person~~~because YOU and I count in God's Kingdom!!
Indeed, we know from The Holy Bible that Jesus Himself is sitting at the right hand of the Father interceding for you and me!  Jesus is our High Priest.  His work and goodness did not stop at the cross...it continues in Him abundantly, exceedingly abundantly, and richly in the grace of the riches of
Who He IS,
I AM WHO I AM.
God's Truth, and Mine, as I Have Learned and Lived
I know these things to be absolutely Truth: God has given us the One and Only Way to the Father~~~that is believing in and on Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ~ Who is the Messiah, Yeshua, the One Promised, the Anointed One.  When a person says, "Yes, Jesus, I believe in You.  Please forgive me of my sins; I want You to be the Lord and Savior of my life.  Please come into my heart, forever," then the Holy Spirit of God comes in and seals you with Himself forever and ever. 
Believers are to keep on walking with the Lord, day-to-day, sometimes, hour-to-hour or minute-by-minute: to worship, praise and go to our
Father God, with all of our joys, sorrows, and needs~ and to love and to help others, as they do for themselves, to the very last day here on earth. Then, His children will go immediately to Heaven, like the batting of your eyes and shutting them- that quickly! we will go with and to the LORD! 
God is forgiving, longsuffering, loving, and merciful even during (perhaps, especially during...) the hard or terrible times.  He does want good things for us, and He wants to grow us in our relationship with Jesus Christ.


Now is the appointed time~~~!  Today is the day of Salvation~~~!

Encourage One Another
I want to encourage family members and loved ones who are praying and very concerned about their family and friends, even enemies, who are unsaved.  I in no way want to alienate any person, whatsoever, but this would be small discomfort to me or anyone who needs to accept Jesus for his or her eternity.  It is but a twinkling of the eye that we are here, and forever goes on~~~exactly that, forever and always! 
Do we want to please people or the Lord? 
We can barely understand such a concept of living and loving in the Savior's grace (which we who are believers do now), and in His Light and Love for eternity, but, truly, the Bible speaks that Heaven is more REAL than what we experience in the here and now on this earth. 
My love to each and every one of you...  God knows the very heart and mind of each soul Whom He created, each special, lovely person~~~
you, oh dear ones. 
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever! 
What gladness, joy, hope and promise we have in Him, now and always :)  May each of us be quickened to God's mercy and grace, His choice of freedom in His Son, Jesus, now and always. So be it.
To My Family, My Most Beloved (Close Friends Can Count in Here, Too :)  Anyone to Whom You Give Your Heart in the Best Ways, A Love that is Like or Closer Than a Brother
You are either for Him or against Him...as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...lambs to the right; goats to His left. 
Not to decide IS to decide! 
In other words, take hold of Christ now, for now is the expected time!

To the Ones
I Love Most in My Life
Should I leave you alone, without the Lord God as your Savior? No, never! I shouldn't, wouldn't, couldn't, even as I full well know that only
the Holy Spirit has the ability to draw you to Himself. 
I try to be discerning when and when not to speak and what to say;
God is faithful~~~He often guides me in this endeavor, even putting words in my mouth which I had not intended to speak- Praise Him! Jesus is my Example and the One for each and all; so, I in Him, am His example. 
The reason I will not leave you alone is because I love you more than I could ever express, from the deepest parts of myself in words that cannot be uttered, only understood by God the Father, His Son Jesus, and the Spirit of God. 
I love you more than anything, but do I love you as much as your
Creator Who made you loves you? 
No, we do not love each other as much as Jesus loves each of us...
we can begin to understand His love toward us, however.
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.
Psalm 20:6 NASB

I want to grab up into my arms
my most loved family members and say, “What must you be thinking?!!"  They have made it clear that they are unsure whom they believe in. 
I would go on to say,
"Why won’t you accept Christ’s free gift of Salvation?
He paid the full price, His Life, and forever set you free from sin, and it is yours for free.  He the Only One, fully God and fully Man, Who could do that for us- He was comletely without sin
You either say "Yes, Lord!" or you are saying "No," by putting the decision aside; not paying attention to Him or your decision; by remaining unsure; making reasons such as "I will do that later sometime;" refusing Him, or
out-and-out continuing to speak against Him and trampling upon Jesus. 
Take that step of faith in accepting Jesus Christ's Salvation and Lordship for you by telling Him that you want Him in your life.  Ask Him for the forgiveness of your not having done everything right/making mistakes/missing the mark.  It is not necessary or possible fully to know ALL there is about God in taking that faith step to Jesus.  No one understands everything, and ask God to help you learn more about Him!!  He wants to.  He wants a relationship with you, Beloved Ones!!
"Listen to me, please: You could get in a plane, and before you crashed, if you had no relationship with Jesus, and you didn’t shout out 'Jesus, Help me!' before you even hit the ground, you would be gone forever- away from God and away from us, your family- away from me.  I cannot bear to think of how lost I would feel if you had not chosen salvation!  Only He, Jesus, could be and is the perfect Blood Atonement, given by the Father (the First Person of the Trinity of our One God) for us.  Think of that- the power and the love from God in that for you and me!  No animal, however perfect, could atone for us- only the Perfect Lamb of God, Jesus, His Son, the Son of God- the Second Person in the Trinity.  God is Spirit, also, Who is the Third Person in the Trinity, the Holy Spirit.  God is love, and God is longsuffering, and He is also holy and just;
however, He will not suffer your rejection of Him forever!"

You may say, “What kind of a God does this?” and yet, I say, “What kind of people do not take the Lord Jesus’ opportunity of salvation of their own free will, which He gave you- everything and all?…Your very life and breath, an eternal life, which you surely must want to spend with Him forever, not separated from Him forever!  He gave you Salvation, which is truly through His love for free will for us, gives you the choice to accept or reject His Gift.
What kind of people keep refusing Him, time and time again?” 

In some regions and with various people/s, these dear ones hear the Gospel once, and they accept Christ right there!  They know the truth when they hear it!  Have we been so babied and pampered with plenty that we are numb to the Truth?  Do we take God for granted, thinking,
"Well, I will think about that some more..." 
There was a stretch of time, particularly in my college and early 20s when I questioned, even made fun of a young man who was telling me about Christ from the Bible in an eatery/pub in our college town.  It strickens me to know I did that- and other things, extremely displeasing to God.  However!!  I know that He has forgotten those things, putting them as far as the east is to the west; they are at the bottom of the ocean, and He no longer remembers them- ONLY BECAUSE HE FORGAVE ME AS HE PROMISED THAT HE WOULD WHEN I CAME TO HIM IN TRUE REPENTANCE FOR MY SINS AND TOLD HIM THAT I ACCEPT HIS SALVATION FOR ME~~~ THAT HE MADE POSSIBLE BY HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS, HIS RESURRECTION, AND NOW LIFE IN THE HEAVENLIES AND WITH US IN OUR HEARTS UNTIL HE RETURNS SOON,
TOTALLY TRIUMPHANT!!! 
I have heard twice within a few weeks' time, which some of us call "God's Echoes," that I did not disappoint the Lord with recent, seeming failures; in fact, I KNOW that He used them for our family's GOOD, drawing us closer together and humbling and building character for my husband and me.  Many Prayer Warriors were praying, and God worked in amazing ways for Royce and me throughout!  Look for my next postings:

 In truth, the Bible says that God can harden our hearts when He knows that we will not hear or listen to Him, after so long.

It is going to take your stepping across the line of faith to be sealed in the Holy Spirit for you to begin to understand some things, and there are mysteries of God's Word and its subjects that can be discussed with different perspectives, and some questions we will not know until we walk into Heaven~~~the rest of life and forever.  God has made the Way for us through Jesus Christ!  Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God- He came to earth as a little baby, grew up, where even at an early age, He astounded people in the Temple with His wisdom.
Jesus went on to perform many, many miracles.

the Prince of Peace!  He does and will rule forever and ever. Amen.

To my beloved, again, I say, "What if you were to be hit suddenly from another car, and you are struck to death before you even know it?  There may be absolutely NO time to think or cry out to God.
Do you truly and so unwisely! want to take the chance to wait until your dying breath- IF you are cognizant?
Many people accept Christ's Salvation on their death bed, Praise God, but do you want to take that chance, that long, or even in the next minutes? 
Do you want to waste all that time without Him?"
+++I could have died without having been saved...
 That is how easily it could have been for me. I was in a serious one-car accident 12 years ago where my neck at the C2 (second cervical bone) was broken; my right leg was broken in the two bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula; that ankle crushed; tailbone broken; head cut badly that hit hard to break the glass in the car; and the glass shattered on the back of my head that left dents in it where the cuts hit and then staples were put in to heal that area.  I had retrograde amnesia and could not remember the last hour of my driving, which has never come back to me (that is okay- God saved me from many torturous memories) from that day when the car spun out of control.  (I easily could have died right there on the road.  I could have had severe brain trauma, been put into a pervasive, vegetative state with no recourse for a normal life.)  No, those latter things did not happen- yes, I had the broken neck, a badly broken tibia and fibula, coccyx, plus lacerations, and retrograde amnesia… but, I had my husband there who is well-trained, who saw the whole thing in his rear-view mirror, as he drove a second vehicle ahead of me. He said he had just looked in his rear-view mirror, and I looked fully awake.  God sent the volunteer chief out on the small, two-lane highway that day on a Kansas road (we had no cell phones at the time).  By the Lord’s gracious design, the chief was merely driving along that old, country highway where I had lost control, and slid down a
12-foot embankment and crashed headlong into a cement ditch. 
Through this horrifying experience and the aftermath that still touches my family and me today, I became so very, very close to the LORD God that I am extremely thankful that He saved me and that I can be an instrument in telling people how fantastic it is to be a true child of God, saved and in due time, I will be with Him and my beloved in Heaven always!! 
I think Jesus saved me from the car crash and also SAVED (Salvation) me for His own for His Kingdom so that I could tell people about Christ's Love and Salvation, including writing this blog!  There were times after the accident that I thought it would be better if I had passed on, I regret to admit, but then one night in the hospital in a ward for rehabilitation with several extremely ill/recuperating women like myself, I saw God's angels in my room with a great Light, and I immediately closed my eyes, and said, "Please, Lord, do not take me away from my family; they need me so much!"  I had come to realize in the weeks after the accident how important to them I was.  I will do a posting on the visit from the Lord's angels and other true stories that are similar.
Back to the subject at hand and that I had already made my Choice for Christ before I could have been instantly killed; where would I have gone?...
GREAT NEWS of GOD's GOOD NEWS!

If I had been killed, I would have gone straight
to Heaven to be with my Lord and Savior, Jesus, forever and ever!
Doubtlessly, I will die someday and because of Jesus Christ's redemptive power and my hearing and accepting His Gift, I will be immediately with God!!

In addition to God's blessed assurance to us, who choose His Salvation, I have these additional trusts in Him: 
How can I be so sure? 
I have been saved by Him, and Him Alone (Only Him)...
There have been other times when God has allowed the most frightening incidents to happen to me (NOT from Him).  He also heals and protects, comforts and loves us in many ways and times, sometimes we do not realize, or only later, does the awareness of His doing so, comes into play in our minds and hearts :) 
Through the Holy Spirit Who lives within my soul, through the Father! in His Heaven, and through His Son, my most precious Savior and the LORD of my life~~~
my loved ones, others, and I were kept from deadly harm.
For example, I immediately began calling out to Jesus, in my mind, thinking that I did not want our young children at home to be without their mother...as a man on drugs with a gun was robbing me, yet he did not touch me, nor hurt me
Another time, the LORD, unmistakably, told me the word, "Danger," in my left ear, as our young daughter, who was in the back seat of our car, was sleeping.  We were driving on a two-lane road, and with that warning, which I took without question, God prepared me mindfully and physically as I drove just then to take extra care.  I braced the steering wheel, was watching, and waited to see what was going to occur, but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary.  Very quickly thereafter, a Mac truck in the oncoming traffic was passing a school bus, and the semi-truck came directly into my lane, heading toward us.  Since I was already on alert, I drove over to the shoulder of the highway, or we would have had a headlong crash with the Mac truck that was now in our lane on the wrong side of the road, undoubtedly crushing our daughter and me, having further repurcussions, almost certainly killing many persons and children.
When our amazing first-born, our daughter, was being born during a long labor, then difficult delivery/birth, she became distressed and timing was of the essence; it took two doctors and two pair of forceps to bring her into the world, where she was put in extra care before we could hold her.  I later told my husband that I was so glad it only took about 20 minutes for the delivery because I would not have made it/been able to continue if the delivery were a longer time; he told me we had been in there for 2 hours!  I had absolutely no pain medicine because it became too late to give it to me, and the Lord altered time in my mind, or I would not have been able to continue in the process of helping her into this life and world, which could have jeopardized our daughter's very life,
even additionally to what the danger was already.
 God stood faithfully by and ministered to Royce and me and our young son for a period of time when our pediatrician was shocked and fearful at a strange rash that developed suddenly on our son's trunk and stomach.  We had to take our boy into the pediatrician every day for blood tests...God gave me a "peace that passes understanding," that I have only rarely experienced, and there was no cancer whatsoever for our most precious, dear son!!

My Salvation Story In Jesus Christ, the LORD, Through the Holy Spirit of God

Jesus is the Living Water
The following is my true story of Salvation in Christ Jesus, Almighty God. I experienced it, and having told many family and friends throughout the years, I remember well.

I was raised in the church, The First Christian Church in Emporia, Kansas. My sister Sherry and I were blessed to have our mother, Dorothy McCoy,in every way.She took Sherry and me to church every Sunday. We would each attend our Sunday School class according to age, and then we would go to the service in the large sanctuary for the whole congregation to worship God in prayer and music and to hear the sermon.  During the summertime, Sherry and I always attended the Vacation Bible School at our church and had a really good time!


Mom had a solid, exceedingly strong faith in Jesus Christ: His salvation power and the power of prayer, so, of course, she was always at church with us and made sure we attended. God was the Lord of her Life, each day.  Mom played the piano beautifully and would come to each classroom during Sunday School to play several songs, then she would go on her way to the next class. I can still see her beautiful dark hair and eyes, her light skin, smiling face with red lipstick, high heels, and in those days, she wore a mid-length, black straight skirt with a crisply~ironed and feminine blouse, tucked in. 
***(Read on to the end and then you will see where I explained a bit further about how the Disciples of Christ, where I was raised in the church, have an important aspect of the worship in music and the sermon in the sanctuary, and we always had communion together each Sunday as part of the service. 

My Story
  
Church:
In addition to our regular weekly Sunday School classes, those students of us who were near the age of understanding and reasoning to understand Jesus' redemption for our sins on the cross and His resurrection so that we could spend eternity with Him in Heaven.  I learned that Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross for my sins, arose on the third day, and later arose to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father to intercede for us; that my accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior was giving my life to Him; and that the Holy Spirit would help me to live a life as much like Jesus as possible.  We understood that the two greatest commandments are to love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, then to love others as myself.  So, when I was 9 years old, my sister, my dad and I each made our statement of faith in Jesus Christ, the LORD, and then were each baptized!  The baptism does not save one; however, it is a public way to show that a person has taken that all-important, Life-giving step in believing in Christ Jesus!   
Mom had been baptized as a very young woman.  She passed away to Glory with God ten years ago, and I always knew, and I know to this day that she definitely made the choice for Christ as her personal Savior...this simply means to accept Jesus and to have a relationship with Him; He is her Lord God, her Savior, and she is His true child...it is not a cut-off, impersonal and cold relationship, and it is not an on-again, off-again, casual thing.  It is a living, breathing, a most close relationship that lasts forever.  He never leaves you nor forsakes you no matter what!  YOU have a close, personal relationship with your Creator, the One who loves you more than anyone ever can!  He is the Living God, the Living Water, and the Great Physician, plus many, many incredible things as the LORD God Jehovah.  I would learn this lesson so well as my life carried on from childhood into adulthood and looking back at times when I knew he fully protected me and never failed me. 
Throughout the years, Mom and I discussed these matters.  I think Mom was so very close to the Lord and didn't go through a lot of angst as some of us do in our decision to accept God's gift of eternal life, so it came out of a very natural place~ calm, sure, always~ as though it had been secure between Jesus and herself from the beginning of her life when she knew to understand what it is to accept His gift of salvation.  Mom's mother, my Grandma Binder, read the Bible every day and even with a total of 10 children, they knew NOT to bother their mother when she had her special time with the Lord in His Word and in prayer!

Family:
 My parents were divorced, which occurred when I was 12-years-old.  My mom did not want the divorce, nor did she cause anything around the fact.  She later in life told me that she would have lost her mind if she had not had Jesus and her sis, my Aunt Virginia, to help her through such an ordeal.  When my dad left us, I remember feeling as though the rug had been pulled out from under me.  I was very close to my dad, it was devastating for many decades- to Mom, my sis Sherry, and me. 

Teen and College, Young Adult Years: I had great friends my teenage years (our parents were good people); however, we were "wild" teenagers.  Some of it came from the times when we were growing up, but these stories are thousands of years old, and we made our own choices.  We definitely live in a broken world.  (Most certainly, there are many young people who do NOT do a lot of wrong things as they grow up- praise the Lord for His wisdom and for these young folks' good scruples and discretion.)
There was a lot of illegal drinking going on during the teen years- parties at the lake, which were "woodsies" (in the woods) with cars, friends, and a keg or two of beer.  These practices seemed fairly common at the time and were, nonetheless, so dangerous and illegal since we were too young to drink alcohol, and we were driving with less than full capacities of the brain in function; our brains were immature and inexperienced. 
Most of us made very good grades while being involved in school activities, and many of us were in church on Sundays!  We were binge drinking on the weekends, and it is only by the grace of God that we survived; some young people have not survived those activities. 
God loves us, whether or not someone was doing something wrong.  I am not at all saying that He loves anyone more than another if a person is saved to stay in this life, or an individual was taken to eternity.  I realize in retrospect how much my Lord watched over me and so many others, keeping them safe, working in natural and supernatural ways that, most of which, we will never know unless He divulges those ways to us in Heaven one day.  He has His Almighty reasons and purposes for each of us.  I am as aware as a human can be that He has intervened many times to protect me.  

This time of living as a teenager and also throughout college and shortly thereafter, I was looking for love in all the wrong places!  I was searching for the right boyfriend/then man to fulfill my need for my first, most important love, whom I had lost in many ways, my dad. 

Even though I was taught in church, I was too young yet to realize that only Jesus Christ would ever fully love me like no one else ever could and also that God's timing is truly perfect! in pairing me with my husband, for life.  If we pray, stay in the Bible, go to a good church (not a false church, group, or cult or false faith/religion) and fellowship with people who fear and yet very much love God, and will but wait upon the Lord, He will give us our hearts' desires.  Sometime the answer is waiting, or it can be in a different way that He knows is truly better. The yearning for someone to love me to fill that hurt, vacant spot where my father had been was ever-present even though many times I was not truly aware.

Forgiveness 
I had some counseling therapy at about age 20 (and have at significant times throughout my adult life), but with that particular therapist, I look back now and whom I could have truly benefited would have been a wise, Christian pastor or counselor. 
I later forgave my father at the age of 40.  At that time I was in group therapy with other women; we all had health/physical/emotional needs.  One night as our group was talking together, I heard in my mind very clearly, "Take your father back for yourself."  It was quite distinctive, and it was not my voice; it was the Lord God's Voice speaking to me directly.  I am not exactly sure if I realized at that moment it was the Lord, but it definitely made an impression on me!  On the way home from therapy that night in my car, again, God said or made known something to me, but I do not remember what it was, although it was in the same vein as the earlier message.  I was definitely going to act on this directive. 
In the next couple of days, I called my dad and asked him to lunch; I said that I needed to meet with him alone.  We sat in his car outside the restaurant and talked before going inside.  I told Dad how I devastated I was when he left us, that I felt as though a rug had been yanked out from under my feet; I felt left alone and missed him more than I could explain.  We both cried together~ a lot, especially my dad; the words imparted and meaning had an extraordinary impact on him.  Somehow, I think he was both very hurt, and, yet, extremely relieved by our conversation- truth and forgiveness are powerful forces for the Good, when done in real love.
  I told Dad that I forgave him, and I remember telling him how I had heard the Voice saying~~~ to take him back.  It was a real breakthrough in Dad's and my relationship (there would be other little steps back and more breakthrough...), many years of suffering and pain and feeling abandoned.  We talked about our family.  Dad told me that he always thought that mom would re-marry, and he was so surprised that she had not, that she was a very good woman.  I think it was his way of saying to an effect, I am so sorry I left your mother and wanted her to be happy, fully believing that she would find someone and be re-married.  Our dad always had loved Sherry and me very much, even so, our beloved mother, his first wife.

How God worked through life circumstances and happenings to bring me to meeting the love of my life, my earthly rock!~ my husband, Royce, is, well, amazing and incredible as only God can do for His flock.  All of this leads to my salvation in Christ Jesus~!
Salvation Found; It was Always There for Me to Accept~!
Some of those years, particularly later high school, college, then after graduation living and working in San Francisco, I desperately needed someone to love me; to share love with me; to have a hope and a real future
***(see Jeremiah 29:11 below): a life filled with love, family and all of the things we hope our lives will give us.
What I did not realize was that my Heavenly Father already had selected the man He had in mind just for me!  And vice versa- me, the woman He had in mind just for my husband to marry!  What had been so sad and depressing less than a year before in "having" to return home to finish school, turned out to be the direction and grace of God.  Such occurrences happen quite obviously at pivotal times in our lives.  I can see it so clearly:  how perfectly the Lord had moved things/situations, stirrings within people's minds and hearts and my own.

While my girlfriend and I, along with three other young women, were living and working in San Francisco, California, I very much wanted to attend graduate school there! 
As the Lord would orchestrate things in my life, I was not accepted into the college of choice there (later after I had already left the geographic area, the opportunity did come through).  However, at that time in the summer, I was offered an assistantship while I would work on my master's degree in psychology and special education to teach, so I took the offer from Emporia State University, which meant that I would be returning to my hometown and where I had stayed for four more years already attending undergraduate school there.  Was I quite, quite sad, regretful and disappointed to be going back to my hometown (later, I was extremely grateful for the opportunities: a good education, to be near my mother, and the Lord in all His love and mighty abilities, working situations so that I could eventually meet the man He had for me)!
I cried and cried because I wanted to stay in that big-life, gorgeous city, much more exciting, far away from where I had grown up.  It truly was empty, though, when I think of my life as it actually was there.  I praise God for helping me in these ways because He knew that I needed to be back in Kansas.  I could not hide the truth of how I felt, and I know I hurt my mother's feelings!

I cannot see around corners as the Lord is able, so I had no idea that in retrospect and in maturity, even more so, that it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me!  To be with my beloved, awesome mom more time; to get a fantastic degree at a great university; to make that next stepping-stone on the path to work at Prairie View Mental Health Center to teach children, my first real, paid teaching job!  The Placement Office at my college helped me find a wonderful job with a veteran teacher and eventually within that first year~ the most loving man and husband who is faithful, protective, loving, and providesHe loves me more than anything, and I, feel the same way about him.

That School Year of Teaching that Lead to My Salvation Experience
 My first month with my Phyllis DelVecchio; oh, how I love her, and she will always be so precious to me.  She went to Glory in Heaven to be with her Lord some years ago now.  Phyllis was a veteran school teacher, and I was an ingenue~ totally new, never taught before except in practica where I taught as a student for "practice" under the supervision of an experienced teacher (during my college years).
This woman, Phyllis, was so close to the Lord, and she exuded Joy in Him.  We talked about everything: our families, our lives, the children we taught, how best to reach them, and many things.  Most of all, she would mention Jesus and her relationship with Him.  God had helped Phyllis in all of her life, even as a child; He stood by her, acted on behalf of her needs and goodness, and was her faithful Savior and the Lord of her life.  I listened a great deal and asked many questions over the months of working together in the classroom and as we would stroll back and forth from the main building that housed the cafeteria where we would have lunch together each day.  Phyllis invited me into her home where I grew to know her husband and her four children; we did things together such as going to church bazaars.
In that first month of school, enter my husband-to-be!  I was struck with his presence, smile and genuine interest in the children.  He had moved back home from college to help in his family's business and wanted to put to the good some of the things he had learned in social work and education.  (Little did Royce and I know that we would be married within that school year.)

We had a lovely wedding in a church, where our mothers wanted us to be, not out in the beautiful park that we had selected that was rained out that day with inclement weather, much to our chagrin and our mothers' delight because a church wedding was best, they believed :)  Royce and I went on our honeymoon, returned in a week, and I continued working because this school went 12 months per year, year-round.

I must stop a moment to give you some "inside" information.  As you know, I had been raised in the church, baptized when I was 9, "accepted Christ," then later went on my own way, away from God.  Royce was raised in the church, our parents were definitely Christ-following and loving, church-going people, true believers in Jesus as their Savior and the Lord of their lives.
I did not know until later, but my beloved mother, Royce's dear, dear parents, and he himself had been praying for me to "come back to Jesus."  I certainly did not feel "saved," and only God knows the truth of that.  He might share with me in Heaven one day exactly when I was saved in Christ.  I will tell you this truth: I would not want to have continued the way I was going, feeling and being estranged from the Lord because I probably would not have been included with God's saints, His believers, for eternity!  I would never have wanted to stake my eternal existence and Life on "if" I had been saved as a child, and then gone forward, living like Hell!  Even if I had lived a "good life" and done many great, loving and helpful things for people~~~no woman or man, can boast that s/he is perfect, and, therefore, going to Heaven on one's own works.  If you are thinking this way, which Satan loves for you to believe (completely mistakenly), it is NOT the Truth; it is what the world wants you to believe...and then one day when you pass on from this life if you have decided NOT to accept Christ, it is too late.  The Bible says:

~~~A new, good friend in the Lord, Teri Anderson, from Community Life Church told me just the other day that I was saved in the Son of God, Jesus, back when I was 9 years old when I stated so at church and was baptized that day.  Further, she believes that I already had been saved at the age of 6, that I was sealed in Christ and the Holy Spirit at that time.  Although I have no exact awareness of anything like that during my early childhood other than being in church and learning about Jesus and loving to hear stories about Him, Teri may be right~~~ Praise God!  However, I do stand on what I told you about how I would not have "bet my life" that I was already saved when I came back to the Lord at the age of 25...More recently, a very close friend of 10 years now named Karen Clough, where we met originally at church, wrote to tell me that she believes I was truly saved at 25 and that my baptism needed to be after I accepted Christ (often, they are done at the same time~ acceptance, then baptism by water...she is absolutely correct, but Karen, my friend, did not realize that I had already been baptized the second time just a few years prior!  I am so appreciative that she cared enough to tell me!  Accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord is necessary for Salvation to Heaven, eternal life with God, NOT separated from Him in Hell; however, baptism is NOT what gets one saved.  It is a directive from God, not a request, but baptism is the part that makes the announcement to all that you have accepted Him as your Savior!  
PLEASE be sure for your own Life for eternity that you ARE with God
(not separated from Him forever) by making that Choice and speaking from your heart to Him that you believe in Jesus as your Savior and the Lord of your life, that you know He died for your wrongs, and that you want Him in your heart and life forever.  You will not know or understand everything- no one understands everything about God or even the Bible, but we can and want to learn and to keep growing closer to Him.  I can promise you: that you will have a life here on earth, for now 'til you go to Heaven, that will be guarded by and lead and loved by your
Heavenly Father.~~~  
How I Came (...Came Back) to the Lord Jesus Christ
After our wedding, and the honeymoon, then being back at school in the summer session with the children where I taught, I drove to work each morning in my old, gold 1967 Chevy II; it was so solid and heavy that it felt like a Mac truck (loved that car, can still see how it felt and looked as I sat inside driving those special days just before I came to Christ for certain in my mind, returning to Him forever).  As I would be driving on my way to school each and every morning, I would "hear" the old hymns that we had sung for years from my church as I was growing up, years back.  Truly, I am not sure if the music was audible or in my head (I had absolutely NO musical means in that car~ electronic or radio!).  I do know that as I drove each morning to school for work, for two weeks, as I heard the hymns, I would be crying and sobbing very hard, feeling extremely sad, as though my heart were lost forever.  I had no control, whatsoever, over this happening to me!  Finally, after experiencing the music I had grown up with daily and the wrenching deep pain and sorrow, I was desperate for relief, yet I was powerless to stop this daily event occurring.  I told my husband Royce, "We have to do something about this music and crying I have every day on the way to work!"  He said that we should go see his youth pastor, Gene,  who was still a member at the church, from Royce's growing up years there.

Royce and I made an appointment and went to visit with Gene at his home.  I told Gene about the daily experience with hearing hymns and then being distraught...what was I to do?  He read to me from The Holy Bible passages about how much God loves me, that Jesus the Son of God, died on the cross for me to take away my sins so that I could be with Him in Heaven one day, since God is completely Holy, and Jesus was the Perfect Lamb Who stood in my place...that all I needed to do was to accept His offer and gift of salvation. 

To tell you the truth, I had been so terribly, horribly mixed up by this crazy world and the devil himself and my own upset mind that even though I had been raised in the church and heard hundreds of Bible stories and sermons over many years, I did not have one clue as to what to do to be saved!!!  It sounds crazy, but it is absolutely fact---do you, or have you felt that way?

Gene said I only needed to pray to God to ask for forgiveness and to invite Jesus into my heart as my personal Savior.  I was embarrassed and self-conscious, so I said that Royce and I would go home and think about it.  We thanked Gene for his help and went home to our very tiny house where we lived.

When we got inside and were getting ready for bed, I said to my husband, "I would like to say that prayer and to accept Christ, Royce."  We stood by our bed, held hands, and prayed together.  I cannot tell you who said what, but right then and there I was born again- truly!  I have never been the same since that night, in that my life is CHANGED forever.  I am sealed by the Holy Spirit of God in Christ, forever.  NOTHING can ever change that.
My life has been incredible, filled with the Master's protection and love and good things!  I can see His moving to the good in my life and the lives of loved ones, friends, and others; it is the most fantastic, satisfying thing to realize and witness.  The Lord NEVER ceases to amaze and dazzle me with His Holy Love and Power and Authority!!  Is everything easy and with no problems?- not at all!  Do I know Who holds me and keeps me, and do I see His supreme action in my life and the lives of others?  Absolutely!!  I cannot recommend one other thing in the whole universe that equals my relationship with my Lord God.  It is the most priceless possession that I will ever own.

  I am not being melodramatic, just stating the truth after much thought and awareness and of course with God's incredible Light in my life to help me figure things out!  These hardships and trying times are real, but on the other hand, we must press on to persevere in Christ.  My current pastor Chris Winn (www.communitylifechurch.com) of 10+ years now has said that when considering a decision or matter in life, after we have prayed and listened to God in those ways I mentioned- in His Word, with Spirit-filled believers, etc.- we can take a step forward in the direction we believe we should and then see how God opens or shuts a door/s for us.
Through that first year of my teaching at Prairie View Mental Health Center, I had my mother, most certainly my aunts and others praying for me.  I know, also that Phyllis DelVecchio was praying for my salvation/return to the Lord as she ministered and testified to me!!  As I said, when Royce and I married, his parents and he were praying for me- I am sure his two sisters, also, to return to the Lord Who always loved me, no matter what.  That is the kind of Christian husband I am so blessed by- he, like Christ, loves and takes care of me- that is what Royce is called to do in our faith.  To Love me like Jesus does.
What a breathtaking Almighty Lord Jesus we love and serve!!!  He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.  We move, breathe, and have our being in Him, alone!!  Without Him, there is nothing in heaven or earth - or anywhere in the universe, nothing at all- because HE is the Creator, the Lover of our souls, and He is the Only One in Whom we can be restored and rectified, made right.  We are redeemed, being transformed and made whole, only through Jesus Christ.

Developing Patience
By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with Him, make us fit for Him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.
There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.
Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way. If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we’re at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!

***In our church, we always had communion each Sunday in the sanctuary; this is one of the outstanding features of our denomination (the Disciples of Christ).~~~ Communion is where the bread and the cup are spoken their symbolic meaning from the Scripture pertaining to the Bible and in personal words from the minister of deacons/deaconesses reading, during a small and important ceremony. The Body and the Blood represent Christ's actual death that He gave for you and me and every single person who has or ever will live- and then partaken, bread and red wine or grape juice, by all the believers. It is the symbolic realization and re-enactment that in Jesus Christ, we are acknowledging what He did for us~~~He was crucified and murdered on the cross~~~ died, and the veil that was on the door of the temple was ripped and torn asunder, top to bottom. Jesus had said to the Father before He, Christ Himself, died, "Forgive them for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:24)
We remember the Last Supper that Jesus and the twelve disciples had, wherein Jesus broke the Bread and served the Wine (representing His Body and Blood that were to be shed for us on the following day). Jesus tried, as He had other times, to explain to the Disciples what He was about to go through- all, so that His life would have the One-and-Only, most important happening for the sake of each human being in humanity- into eternity and forever and ever!  His Perfect Sacrifice was the only acceptable and complete one that was once and for all, torn asunder as was the veil, from top to button when "It is finished."I have finished the work which You have given Me to do —John 17:4. The death of Jesus Christ is the fulfillment in history of the very mind and intent of God. Oswald Chambers in My Utmost for His Highest, one of the greatest Christian devotional books ever written.
 Jesus Christ did what no other person or god could do for us to be acceptable to enter into Heaven (like Paradise, once again, the Garden of Eden, where we started and intended to be forever.)
Please read on from the New Testament in Matthew to see what the Lord has told us regarding being His disciples.  Let us go do as He said!  Bless you in the Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, Who is: The King of kings and the Lord of lords! Hallelujah!  So be it :)

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve

Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
“Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts— no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep. Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave. As you enter the home, give it your greeting. If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.
